"The Toy Museum of the Island of Santa Catarina was designed by Prof. Dr. Anita Telma Piacentini, in September 1999 as a project of University Extension. "The primary mobilizer of the creation of the Toy Museum was Franklin Cascaes, with his collection of children's games. It now houses a collection consisting of 144 pieces from a number of regions (Italy, Mexico, China, Canada, New York, Peru, Indonesia, France, Guatemala, Bolivia, Puerto Rico, Nicaragua and Brazil): wooden toys, ceramics, porcelain, fabric and others. There are dolls (the), puppets, spinning tops, yo-yos, "Bilboquê", shuttlecocks and carts - objects cataloged and largely exposed in the University Library. The parts that are not on display are stored in the technical resources of the University Museum".
